Raymond "Ray" Clarke, age 76, of the Rising Fawn community, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga.

Born in Mount Holly, New Jersey on March 10, 1947, Ray was the son of the late Donald and Nina Clarke.

Throughout his life, Ray had a fulfilling career including the Georgia Department of Corrections at Walker State Prison as an Inmate Counselor. He was deeply committed to helping and guiding others.

Aside from his professional pursuits, Ray possessed incredible talents in woodworking and creating stain glass projects. His skills allowed him to passionately craft beautiful pieces that left a lasting impact on those who had the chance to admire them. Ray was also a keen reader, as well as the author of a published novel. He had several other writing projects as well. Ray was also an avid hunter throughout his life.

Although Ray's passing leaves a void in our hearts, we find solace in cherishing his memory and accomplishments. He is survived by his husband, Ronald C. Mcrae; beloved daughter, Amber (Matt) Hansen of Minnesota; and his brother, Allen (Susan) Clarke of New York. Additionally, he leaves behind three cherished grandchildren, Zach Hansen, Olivia Hansen, and Bailey Bosworth, as well as a great-granddaughter named Esther Bosworth.
