The Chattanooga beach volleyball team returns to action this weekend with the Mocs slated to take part in the Wheeler Beach Bash hosted by the University of South Carolina from March 2-3.

A grand total of four matches await the Mocs upon their arrival in Columbia, splitting them up to two each day that the team is in attendance. UTC’s weekend will open on Saturday, March 2 with the Mocs taking on tournament hosts South Carolina (0-4) at 11 a.m. ET followed by the College of Charleston (0-2) later that afternoon at 3 p.m.
ET. Chattanooga will then have a rematch with Coastal Carolina (2-2), a team they met last weekend in Jacksonville, on Sunday March 3 at 9 a.m. ET before wrapping their weekend up against UNCW (2-0) at 3 p.m. ET.

The Mocs are coming off their season-opening tournament from a week ago, the Jacksonville Invitational hosted by Jacksonville University. UTC finished 1-3 in the Sunshine State, earning their lone win of the weekend against Palm Beach Atlantic.

“This weekend is another opportunity for us to improve and solidify our own identity,” head coach Darin Van Horn said. “Iron sharpens iron and that is exactly what we are aiming for this weekend.”
