Frank Norman Hobart, 76, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024, with his family at his side.

He was an AWANA missionary and minister of the gospel in the State of Tennessee and northern Alabama for 34 years. He helped hundreds of churches start their youth and children’s ministries during that time. His favorite part of the ministry was counseling AWANA directors and pastors and leading AWANA Scholarship Camp (which later became Dixieland Leadership Camp), where hundreds of Campers fondly referred to him as “Uncle Frank”. He was a millwright at Inland Steel in East Chicago for 13 years before moving to Tennessee to become the AWANA missionary in 1985. He retired from AWANA Clubs International in 2018. Due to his love for serving people, he also founded Caring Hearts of Dunlap in 2010, an adult day center and home care company serving the elderly and disabled population.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman Franklin and Dorothy Francis Hobart; and sister, Suzanne Dorothy Hobart.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Linda Hobart; daughters: Sherri Lynn Raines (Michael), Shelli Rae Fuller (Michael), and Frankie Jean Moughrabi (Marwan); grandchildren: Amber Michelle Klinkert, Aimee Marie Klinkert, Daegan Duc-Nguyen Le and Noah Franklin Fuller; sister, Christine Francis Owens; and brother Robert James Hobart.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, at One Accord Community Church in Red Bank, Tn. with a funeral service following at 12 p.m., also at the church. Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park in Red Bank for close friends and family.

Arrangements are entrusted to Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, Tn. 37415, 423 877-3524, lanefh.com.
