Helen Naomi White, 85, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, left us on Tuesday, May 20, 2024, at 8 p.m. at Erlanger Hospice in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She died peacefully with her daughter Darlene and Steve, grandson, Josh and Jennifer by her side. She had suffered from head trauma from a fall.

She was married to the late Bill White and was a member of South Pittsburg Presbyterian Church. Naomi was a long-term resident of South Pittsburg, where she ran a very successful beauty salon for over 25 years. She was loved by the whole community of South Pittsburg, Kimball and Jasper. Naomi loved having bird feeders and watching them. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, gardening and flowers. Naomi was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved her dear friend Marlene Martin.

Naomi was preceded in death by her father, Walter Walden; mother, Margaret Helen Beeler; husband, Bill White; and daughter, Helen White Rogers.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Walter (Elizabeth “Sissy” West) White; daughters, Darlene (Steve) Grace, Pam (Lance) Reddick; brothers, George Walden, James Walden; sisters, Dorothy (Gene) Ridley, Margaret Phillips, Sharon (Phillip) Manasco; grandchildren, Rock & Russ Rogers, LeAnn (Buddy) Gross, Josh (Jennifer) Mantooth; great grandchildren, Jacob Mantooth, Myles Hudson, Bella Gross, River Rogers, Alie Rogers, several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.

Visitation is on Thursday, May 23, from 4-8 p.m. and on Friday, May 24, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tn.

Funeral services are on Friday, May 24, 2024, at noon CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, with Pastor Darrell Nunley officiating.

Burial will be on Friday, May 24, at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, immediately following the funeral service.

Pallbearers are Josh Mantooth, James Edward, Russ Rogers, Buddy Gross, George Walden and James Walden.
