Nancy Newman Uren, 90, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 13, 2024.

She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church and loved Jesus with all her heart. Nancy retired from the U.S. Post Office in Soddy Daisy in 1991. She was a member of the Daisy Women’s Club, was a Lady Shriner and Helping Hands. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Bob Uren; her sweet son, Kemball Uren; parents, William Douglas and Gladys May Smith Newman; sister, Betty Coffelt (Joe) and brother, William Douglas Newman, Jr. (Melda).

Survivors are her daughter, Raylene Everett (Bob Welch); grandchildren, Brandon Everett (Esther), Steve Everett (Marilyn); great grandchildren, Lilyanna Estill (Trae), Kelsey Battles (Ben), Hayley Yates (Naron); brother, Larry Newman (Salley); three great great grandchildren on the way; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Visitation will be on Saturday, June 15, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will follow the visitation on Saturday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Alan Rogers officiating. Burial will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
