Chester H. McCloud, 77, was born on September 2, 1946, to Harrison McCloud and Henrietta Jones McCloud. He transitioned from his earthly body on Friday June 14, 2024, surrounded by his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sylvia Anderson Leslie.

Chester graduated from Howard High School in 1964 and served his country in the United States Army for 2 years before being wounded in combat, resulting in an honorable discharge and Purple Heart. After his military service, Chester enrolled in Knoxville College and earned a degree in Business Administration. He was later employed by the State of Tennessee and Tennessee Valley Authority.

Chester always left a lasting impact on those he met. When a family member was greeted by anyone who knew him, the first question would always be “How's Chester?” People who knew Chester, cared about Chester. And he cared about people. He loved his family, especially his daughters. He always ended his conversations with “I love you, God bless you”.

Those left to cherish all the good memories of Chester are his daughters, Alesia Sanders and DeVonda McCloud; brothers Calvin (Bertha) McCloud and Alonza Anderson; sisters, Lillie Wills and Valerie Anderson; uncles, Autry and Eric Jones and a host of family and friends.
