Bear Spotted In Yard On Stratton Lane - And Other Collegedale Police Calls

A citizen reported a bear in their yard in the 4200 block of Stratton Lane. The bear moved along after taking a quick dip in a tub of water.
 
Officers were dispatched to a fire alarm in the 4500 block of Forsythia Way. Everything checked okay.

A Collegedale fugitive was located at the Hamilton County Jail. The individual was booked on active warrants. 

Officers were alerted to a lost license plate in the 8600 block of Tradewind Circle.
The license plate was recovered and returned to the owner.

Officers responded to an infant locked in the car in the 5800 block of Main Street. OnStar was able to unlock the vehicle as officers arrived.

A driver in the 9200 block of Lee Highway was misdemeanor cited for driving on a suspended license.

Officers were dispatched to a hold-up alarm in the 9400 block of Apison Pike. Officers arrived and were told that it was an accident.

A driver in the 5500 block of Little Debbie Parkway was misdemeanor cited for driving on a suspended license.

Officers responded to suspicious activity in the 5100 block of High Street. Officers arrived and determined that nothing suspicious occurred. 

East Ridge Officers requested a K9 for a traffic stop in the 4200 block of Ringgold Road. K9 Krino was deployed and alerted officers to the presence of narcotics. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

A traffic stop in the 10700 block of Lee Highway resulted in the driver being arrested for altering and falsifying a license plate.

An unknown 911 call came in from the 9500 block of Glynn Downing. Officers checked the area and found no signs of distress.

Officers gave a courtesy ride to a broken-down motorist in the 9900 block of Apison Pike.

Officers responded to a bomb/active shooter threat at the Collegedale Seven Day Adventist Church. Officers were able to evacuate the building and ensure there were no explosive devices present. 

Officers responded to a domestic assault in the 5600 block of Berdene Circle. A brief investigation resulted in an individual being arrested and charged with domestic assault.

Officers were dispatched to a report of an unconscious person in the 10600 block of Apison Pike. Officers arrived and discovered that the person was heavily intoxicated and not unconscious. Officers ensured that the individual found a ride home.

A Collegedale fugitive was located at the Hamilton County Jail. The individual was booked on a bond revocation warrant.

A traffic stop in the 5000 block of Little Debbie Parkway resulted in the driver being misdemeanor cited for driving on a suspended license.

Officers assisted Chattanooga with a crash in the 9300 block of Lee Highway.

Officers assisted the fire department while they informed a citizen of the current burn ban in place. 

Officers were dispatched to an aggressive panhandler at Walmart. The individual was educated on state law and left the area.

Officers responded to a stunned deer in the 5300 block of Ooltewah Ringgold Road. The deer was put down to prevent further suffering.

Officers assisted the Tennessee Highway Patrol with translation during a DUI investigation on the interstate.

A driver received a misdemeanor citation for driving on a revoked license and citations for a registration violation and financial responsibility.

Officers got flagged down for what appeared to be a fight in the 5200 block of Little Debbie Parkway. Officers found that it was a caretaker trying to get a patient under control after having an episode. The peace was restored and the individual was taken home.

A violation of an order of protection was reported in the 5600 block of Berdene Circle. This individual was already in custody at the Hamilton County Jail. The individual was booked for violating an order of protection.

Officers kept the peace during a child custody exchange in the 8900 block of Old Lee Highway.

Officers assisted a broken-down motorist in the 8300 block of Old Lee Highway.

A Collegedale fugitive was located at the Hamilton County Jail. The individual was booked on a bond revocation warrant for DUI.

Officers responded to an alarm in the 5100 block of Ooltewah Ringgold Road. Everything checked okay.
