Morning Pointe Foundation’s Seniors Got Talent Auditions End Friday, Tickets On Sale Now

Talented seniors ages 60+ have less than a week left to audition for this year’s Morning Pointe Foundation Seniors Got Talent show on July 29 in Chattanooga, presented by Morning Pointe Senior Living. The final in-person auditions (open to all area seniors or senior groups of six or fewer ages 60 and over) will take place Thursday at several area Morning Pointe Senior Living communities, and
online audition videos will be accepted through Friday at morningpointefoundation.com/seniorsgottalent/.

Examples of acts include singers, musicians, comedians, dancers, original poets or any performing talent.

The top 10 acts will be chosen to perform in the Morning Pointe Foundation Seniors Got Talent Show on Monday, July 29, at 7 p.m. the Silverdale Center Creekside Theater at 7236 Bonny Oaks Dr., part of the Silverdale Baptist Academy campus next to the sports fields.

The grand-prize winner will receive $1,000, and prizes will also be given to second- ($500) and third place ($250) winners. Contestants will be judged on technical ability, stage presence and professionalism, appearance/costume, difficulty of act and originality/creativity. A People’s Choice winner will be determined by attendee votes.

“I encourage all talented seniors in the Tennessee Valley to try out, to give it a shot,” said Miranda
Perez, Morning Pointe Foundation executive director. “We have seen some great performers so far, and it’s such a unique opportunity to show that seniors can still shine. We have a great audience, and you can win up to $1,000.”

Tickets for the Morning Pointe Foundation Seniors Got Talent show are available now for $10 at
silverdaleba.org/arts.

Proceeds from the show go to the Morning Pointe Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit public service organization, to support nursing and other college scholarships. The Morning Pointe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Morning Pointe Senior Living founded by senior healthcare entrepreneurs Greg A. Vital and J. Franklin Farrow. The Foundation was created in 2014 to provide caregiver support programs, sponsor educational awareness events and fund scholarships that advance the care of seniors throughout the Southeast.

Emcee for this year’s show will be Gino D, radio personality with Hits 96 in Chattanooga. Judges are Steve Darmody, award-winning Christian recording artist; Danielle Farrell, author, dancer and director of Raw Art Dance & Entertainment Dance Academy; Josh Robinson, executive producer of The Daily Refresh on NewsChannel 9 in Chattanooga; and Susan Caminez, executive director of the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra.
