Dove Brothers Gospel Singing
The July Red Back Hymnal Singing at the Hullander Farm in Apison will feature McCray Dove and his three sons singing familiar Gospel Songs.
These singings take place the third Sunday of every month at the Hullander Farm on London Lane and begin at 6 p.m. They are always free but a love offering is taken to help cover costs of the event.
The Dove Brothers name in Gospel Music isn’t new. They formed a quartet in 1987 and were an instant hit with fans. In 2018, McCray Dove decided to come off the road and devote his energy to pastoring. Last year his sons, David, Andrew and Mathew approached their father with a desire to sing, focusing on some of the traditional Gospel Songs, so a re-organized Dove Brothers family started touring again.
Hymn Singing organizers Bill and Linda Hullander heard about Rev. McCray Dove and his sons and invited them to Apison. Tn. for the July Red Back Hymnal Singing.
Mr. Hullander said, “I’m looking forward to hearing these young men sing traditional Southern Gospel Songs like, “It’s Different Now,” Till the Storm Passes By and “Where no one stands alone. We are glad to see young people carrying on the traditional sound of Gospel songs.”
Rev. McCray Dove said, “This evening promises to be an exceptional blend of faith and music. The Dove family, with their deep-rooted love for both, is eager to share their talents and inspirations with the audience. Everyone is encouraged to spread the word and extend this invitation to their friends and family.”
Red Back Hymnal Singing, Hullander Farm, Sunday, July 21, 6 p.m. There is no admission but a love offering is taken.
