Linda C. Harmon, 65, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024.

She was born on May 31, 1959, in Chattanooga. Linda met her husband, Doug, in Denver, Co., in 1977 and they married on September 8, 1979. They had their daughter, Jessica in 1980, and their son, Mark in 1986. Linda became employed with Arthur Anderson in 1982. Arthur Anderson branched into Accenture, where Linda was the deputy director, keeping over 500K personnel safe in over 120 countries across the world, supporting projects with government, industry and NGO’s. She was also an early advocate of Women in Security initiatives with two premier grounds of international security professionals, ASIS and OSAC. Linda retired from Accenture in 2018. She enjoyed traveling, her hobby chickens, and spending time with her family. Linda was extremely humble, caring and generous. She was lovingly known as “The General” and will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Doug Harmon; father, Cecil Brooks; mother, Helen Chavez, and sister, Debra Jean Chance.

Linda is survived by her children, Jessica Malik (David) and Mark Harmon (Lourdes); grandchildren, Haven Harmon, Taylor Price, Brittni Malik, Amanda Malik, Aiyanna Sisneros, Helayna Flint, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 31, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home at Highway 58. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Reverend John R. Rouser officiating.

Linda will be laid to rest in New McDonald Cemetery with her husband, Doug.
