Christian Waldo Liechty III, 78, of Chattanooga went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 1, 2024.

He was of the Methodist faith. Chris was the son of the late Christian Waldo Liechty II and Alta Erline Stewmon Liechty. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War Era, was an avid camper, loved Panama Beach and loved NASCAR.

Chris is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Marilyn Eugenia Liechty, son, David (Amy) Liechty, daughter, Amy (Scott) Parker, grandchildren, Rylee, Haylee, and Madison, step-daughter, Christine (Glen) Stout, Kandace Watkin, step-son, James Thompson, sister, Pat (Danny) Giles, brother, Alan (Donna) Liechty, several nieces and nephews.

Services may be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to The Cancer Society.

Arrangements are by Hamilton Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 4506 Hixson Pike, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
