Terry Gregg Keith, Jr.
In the morning hours on Thursday, August 1, 2024, we lost our beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, Terry Gregg Keith, Jr., of Ooltewah.
Gregg was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps where he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. Gregg was a contractor for over 40 years with the Terry Keith Company and currently working with Custom Werks – Graphics, LLC. Gregg was a longtime member of the Chattanooga Yacht Club where he enjoyed boating and fishing. He loved to take time to target shoot and Gregg was an avid animal lover and Tennessee Volunteers fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Terry Gregg Keith, Sr. and Eleanor Cummings Keith.
Gregg is survived by his wife, Kris Keith; step-sons, Jack Peterson and Chad (Shannon) Peterson; granddaughter, Riley Peterson all of Ooltewah; sister, Cynthia Keith Mitchell of Chattanooga; niece, Brindley (Matt) Wheeler and their daughter Nellie all of New York, NY; nephew, Keith (Claire) Mitchell of St. Simons, Ga.; uncle, Roddy Keith of Houston, Tx., and aunt, Jean McCord of Chattanooga.
A graveside celebration of Gregg’s life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Reverend Amy Nutt presiding before military honors by the United States Marine Corps. The family will meet at the cemetery office around 2:15 p.m. and then process to the shelter. When you enter the cemetery off Holtzclaw, turn right and follow the road to the office and line up for the procession to the site.
After the service is over at National Cemetery, the family will be visiting and meeting with friends and family from 4 to 6 pm at the Chattanooga Yacht Club, 9400 N. Hickory Valley Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
