Dr. Todd Thurston and Ashley Thurston are the co-chairs for this year’s Denim & Diamonds fundraiser. The event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Chattanooga Whiskey Event Hall.

Denim & Diamonds is the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Medical Society and Foundation’s premier annual fundraiser, bringing together community leaders, healthcare professionals and supporters for an evening of fun, food and celebration. The funds raised during the event will support the Foundation’s various programs, including Southeast Tennessee Project Access, the Future Docs program, LifeBridge Physician Wellbeing Initiative and other initiatives aimed at improving healthcare access and education in the region.

Officials said, "Dr.
Todd Thurston, a craniofacial surgeon at Erlanger Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, and Ashley Thurston, an active community volunteer and advocate, bring their combined passion and dedication to this year’s event. Their leadership and commitment to the Foundation’s mission promise to make this year’s Denim & Diamonds unforgettable."

“We are honored to serve as co-chairs for Denim & Diamonds,” said Dr. Thurston. “This event is a vital source of support for the Medical Foundation’s programs, and we are excited to raise awareness and funds for such an important cause.”

Mrs. Thurston added, “We are looking forward to an evening that not only celebrates our community’s generosity, but also highlights the impactful work of the Medical Foundation of Chattanooga. We encourage everyone to join us for a night of great entertainment and meaningful contributions.”

Denim & Diamonds is presented by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Vascular Institute of Chattanooga and Alchemy MedSpa. The evening will feature great food from Lee Towery, seasonal cocktails and beverages, dancing to a live DJ, a sports lounge with live football on big screen TVs and a silent auction. Entertainment will be provided by SoundForce. Attendees are encouraged to dress in their best denim and diamonds attire, blending casual and chic for a night to remember.

Denim & Diamonds is open to the public. Table sponsorships are available and individual tickets are $150. To purchase your table or tickets, call the Medical Society at 423-622-2872 or visit chattmd.org. Sponsorship opportunities are available. For more information, contact Kevin Lusk at kevin@chattmd.org.

In addition to BlueShield of Tennessee, Vascular Institute of Chattanooga and Alchemy MedSpa, sponsors include Galen Medical Group, Medical Personnel Services, CHI Memorial, Erlanger, First Horizon, Tennessee Interventional & Imaging Associates, University Surgical Associates, Journey Health Foundation, Parkridge Health System, Noon Development, Drs. Manisha & Nilesh Patel, Healthscope and Cityscope magazines and WDEF-News 12.

The Chattanooga-Hamilton County Medical Society was founded in 1883 to advocate for physicians and to improve community health. The Medical Foundation of Chattanooga is the charitable arm of the Society and works to improve community health and promote educational programs. Project Access, a voluntary program to coordinate donated health care services to low-income uninsured residents, is the largest program the Foundation coordinates.
