Event schedules:
• Monday, Aug.
12: Chattanooga Central High School, 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.;
• Tuesday, Aug. 13: Lookout Valley Middle/High School, 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.; and
• Wednesday, Aug. 14: Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Officials said, "Tennessee saw 178,154 car accidents in 2023, with 61,699 involving drivers aged 16-25. Despite a slight decrease in overall accidents from the previous year, young drivers remain particularly vulnerable, especially when impaired. With driver distraction accounting for over 11 percent of all car accidents in Tennessee, this event is crucial for raising awareness and fostering lifelong safe driving habits among teens."
