Michael Brown
Southern Adventist University invites the community to a presentation on Christian service presented by Michael Brown, president and chief executive officer of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga. The event is set for Thursday, Oct. 3, at 11 a.m. in Iles P.E. Center on the university campus.
Mr. Brown’s nonprofit career spans more than 30 years of service across various states, cities and communities while serving on multiple nonprofit boards of directors. His leadership style is characterized by a deep understanding of the complex challenges facing communities today and a dedication to finding innovative solutions.
Between 2005 and 2012, Mr. Brown developed partnerships with school districts to provide water safety skills to more than 5,000 underserved children annually in Texas and Florida. He also created and led coalitions with community-based agencies to offer healthy after-school programs with academic, social and athletic enrichment for more than 25,000 youth across three states.
