Judith Carolyn Bridges, 88, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.

She was born on Feb. 26, 1936, in Sweetwater, Tn., to the late Horace and Fanny Anderson. She attended Woodland Park Baptist Church. Judy was the first female drum major in Chattanooga at City High School. Mrs. Bridges worked at Hamilton National Bank for many years and retired from Summers, Rufolo and Rodgers Law Firm. She enjoyed reading, sewing, working crossword puzzles and cheering on the Tennessee Vols! Spending time with her kids and grandkids was one of her favorite things to do.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 40 years, Charles Bridges; brother, Fred Anderson and grandchild, Kelly Holmes.

Survivors include her daughters, Suzan (Terry) Gibson, Donna (James) Fouts and Candy Frank; step-daughters, Phyllis (Larry) Lawrence, Sandi (Terry) Lohman and Jill Cannon; sister, Johnnie Brock; grandchildren, Corry (Lauren) Johnson, Randy (Becca) Gibson, Jason Snyder, Stuart (Fawn) Allen, Mattison Frank, Anna Beth Frank, Sarah Kate Frank and Beau Frank; along with 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 6, in the funeral home chapel with Brian Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5, and an hour prior to the service on Friday at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
