Patricia "Trish" Lynn Holdren, 62, left her earthly home on August 27, 2024, and is now in paradise in the arms of Jesus, reunited with her mother.

Preceded in death by her mother, Edna Jeanette Holdren, she is survived by her four siblings: Suzanne (Roger) Williams; Kim (Kris) Dixon; Rick (Jennifer) Holdren; and David (Melissa) Holdren. She leaves behind a loving legacy embraced by nieces and nephews, as well as cherished great-nieces and great-nephews.

She defied the odds her entire life and was more than just special. She was smart, funny, fiercely loyal, quick to forgive, and free with her love and her heart. She was quick to crack a joke at inappropriate times, quick to tell you she loved you, and quick to give you the biggest, most sincere smile that could change the course of your day. She left an indelible mark on everyone with her smile. She touched so many lives throughout her lifetime, and the ripple effect that came from knowing her spirit is vast. It was hard to be upset around Trish as she would always tell a corny joke and would often get so tickled before delivering the punch line.

She loved playing her video games and would very quickly master them, always wanting new ones. She loved talking on the phone and never met a stranger. She adored singing church hymns and had a lovely alto voice. Throughout her youth and into adulthood, Trish spent countless hours recording church singing and would constantly rewind the cassette player to sing along. Alabama, The Judds and the Chuck Wagon Gang were among her favorites.

Trish had one flaw and that was she was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. Her room was often loudly decorated with blue and silver, with stars all over. Trish had faith in the Cowboys and believed that they would win every year.

Her determined spirit was never wavering. She was brave until the very end, more worried about others’ wellbeing than herself. Her light will continue in those that were blessed to know her. She leaves behind innumerable pieces of her spirit in her surviving siblings, her nieces, nephews, and treasured friends at Rhea of Sunshine.

Please do something kind in Trish's honor. Make a phone call just to tell someone hello, how you doing, I love you, or tell a silly joke, which Trish had many: “What do you call a deer with no eyes? .... I have no I deer.” And, when asked how she was feeling her response was always “With my hands.”

A faithful servant to the Lord, Trish’s spirit now joins the angels in Heaven. We were truly blessed to have known and loved such a wonderful and compassionate sister, aunt and friend. With gratitude for the light Trish brought into our lives and the echoes of love she leaves behind, we honor and remember her always.

A huge gratitude to the staff at “329” as well as the entire Rhea of Sunshine family for all the love and support you gave Trish for the last seven years. We will never be able to thank you enough for caring and loving her like your own!

The family would also like to thank the staff at Rhea County Medical Center for honoring Trish with such love and care.

A celebration of Trish’s beautiful life will be held at 11 a.m. on Sept. 14, at Luminary Cemetery, located in Ten Mile, Tn.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Trish’s memory to Rhea of Sunshine located in Dayton, Tn.
