For the second year in a row, Children’s Hospital at Erlanger will host the FunFair Festival on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Chattanooga Green, 140 Riverfront Pkwy.
The FunFair Festival is a free event open to all ages that will focus on education surrounding keeping kids safe and ways to have a great start in life. There will be games, food and activities for the family.
“The festival is the perfect opportunity to have a fun-filled, yet educational day with your whole family,” said Lindsay Bass, Pediatric Trauma Injury Prevention and Outreach coordinator. “There will be carnival games, yard games, giveaways, cotton candy, and educational entertainment acts throughout the event. It’s an event you don’t want to miss.”
The event is organized by members of Children’s Hospital at Erlanger, Basics Chattanooga, Safe Kids Southeast Coalition, the city of Chattanooga, and the city of Chattanooga Department of Early Learning. All organizations are dedicated to helping parents and caregivers prevent childhood injuries and give children the best start in life, said offiicals.
“The FunFair Festival was very well received by the community in 2023,” said Ms. Bass. “The participation from the various agencies to the community exceeded our expectations for the event. We are glad to have the opportunity to host this wonderful event again this year, and hope the community joins in on all the fun.”
