John Milton Campbell, 85, of Hixson, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024, in a local medical center.

He retired from Stuart Irby Company where he worked as an Inside Sales Supervisor and he was a member of Dallas Bay Church. He loved being a drummer and loved music especially playing and singing in church. He was a private pilot who loved flying and in his later years watching flight shows. He was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Harold and Catherine Waldren Campbell and brothers, Robert Campbell and Thomas Rowe Campbell.

Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Susan Campbell, daughters, Sheryl Robinson, Kristin (Doug) Darr and Holly (Chris) Mills, grandchildren, Katie (Jason) Ashley, Nicolas (Carly) Smith, Alison (Matthew) Dorton, Samuel Robinson, Andrew (Ashton) Corbin, Michael Darr and Emily (Grady Kerr) Darr, Zane Mills and Wilder Mills, great-grandchildren, Tripp Smith, Be’Juan Myles, Molly Dorton, Jake Dorton, Sophia Dorton, Chanler (Garrett) Owen, Brooklynn Smith, Statton Smith, Hudsyn Smith, Hayden Darr, Emeree Darr and Jaxon Kerr, great-great-granddaughter, Carter Owen, brother, James Hill and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, Sept. 14, from 12-2 p.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Dallas Bay Church, 8305 Daisy Dallas Road, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
