Judith "Judy" Carol Parker, 86, a cherished lifelong resident of Red Bank, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025.

Born on April 3, 1938, Judy was a beloved member of her community and a devoted congregant of the White Oak Church of Christ.

In her youth, Judy graced the runway as a model for JCPenney, showcasing her elegance and poise. She later dedicated over three decades to a fulfilling career at Pro Group before retiring. Throughout her life, she found immense joy in life's simple pleasures-cooking hearty meals that brought loved ones together, tending to her vibrant flowers with care, and exploring yard sales, flea markets, and antique shops in search of hidden treasures.

Her passion for collecting dolls and depression glass reflected her appreciation for beauty and history.

Judy's life was marked by love and devotion to family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Daniel and Daniel Merriman Sr.; her sister, Margaret Pendergrass; her brother, Daniel Merriman Jr.; and her youngest daughter, Sandra "Bebe" Cranmore. Her legacy lives on through five generations of family who were deeply enriched by her love, wisdom, and unwavering support.

She is survived by her children: Cindy (Ted) Shipley of Warner Robins, Georgia; Jimmy (Renee) Parker of Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee; David (Denise) Parker of Birmingham, Alabama; and Karen Shackleford of Red Bank, Tennessee. Judy also leaves behind five grandchildren: Barbara (Jeremy) Arnold, Andrea (Adam) Randall, James (Lisa) Parker, Ashley (Jordan) Palco, and Lindsey (Adam Creek) Parker; eight great-grandchildren: Bradlee (Jamie) Ricketts, Joey (Jill) Ricketts, Meghan Ricketts, Aubree Creek, Jase Palco, Aiden Randall, Andrew Randall, and Everett Palco; and eight great-great-grandchildren: Mason, Colton, Charlee, Maisie, Graysen, Brynlee, Lakelynn, and Braxton. Additionally, she is fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.

The family invites those who wish to celebrate Judy's life to join them at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel at 5401 TN-153 in Hixson on Friday, Jan. 17. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., followed by a memorial service in the chapel at 12 p.m. Interment will take place immediately afterward at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers honoring Judy's memory include Jimmy Parker, David Parker, Ted Shipley, Jeremy Arnold, Adam Randall, James Parker, Bradlee Ricketts, and Joey Ricketts.

Judy's warmth touched countless lives through the years. May her memory continue to inspire all who knew her as they carry forward the love, she so generously shared.
