Rosetta June Jarnagin Howland, 89, was born on June 13, 1935, and passed away January 14, 2025.

She was the youngest child of Rufus Jerry Jarnagin and Pansy Wann Jarnagin. June served as a worthy advisor to the Rainbow Girl cheerleaders and was a cheerleader herself. She was selected as both the class poet and the senior-class artist. June drew every illustration in Red Bank High School's 1953 annual. She was also chosen to create a mural on the power board window. June was a lifetime member of Red Bank Baptist Church where she was baptized at a very young age. She fell in love and was married at age 18 to a soldier, Robert C. Howland, he was the love of her life for 65 years. They traveled all around the world and together they had four amazing children.

June was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Howland; parents, Rufus and Pansy Jarnagin: daughter, Pam Howland; son, Robert T. Howland.

Survivors include her son, David W. Howland and his wife, Vickie; daughter, Katherine Mundis and her husband, Kevin; seven grandchildren, Kellie Seidel, Brooke Jones and her husband, Chris, Joshua Howland, Jordyn Shallies and her husband, Ryan, Hayley Borek and her husband, Michael, Chase Howland, and Chandler Gaber and her husband, Phil; nine great-grandchildren, Brieana Seidel, Braylon Seidel, Brooklyn Jones, C.J Jones, Xander Jones, Raegan Shallies, Scarlett Borek, Brooklynn Borek, and Deacon Borek.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Mundis, Chris Jones, Chase Howland, Michael Smith, Joshua Howland, Ryan Shallies, with honorary pallbearers, David Howland (Son).

A special thank you to the caregivers and staff at Life Care of Hixson for all the love and support they have shown our family.

Visitation will be held at Hamilton Funeral Home on Wednesday, Jan. 22, from 10:30 a.m. until funeral service time at 12 p.m. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
