LaToya Renee Sivels-Evans
LaToya Renee Sivels-Evans, 43, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, in a local hospital.
She was educated in the Chattanooga Public Schools and attended Brainerd High School. LaToya was a member of Greater Nazarene Baptist Church. She also was a member of the Sickle Cell Warriors.
LaToya was preceded in death by her husband, DeWayne Lynnell Evans, Sr.; grandfathers, Rudolph Foster, Sr. and Homer Sivels; great-grandmothers, Reita Foster and Bertha McKibben; great-grandfathers, John Foster and R.B. McKibben; sister, Malakia Sivels; aunts, Carol Jean Jordan and Renee Foster; and uncle, Kenneth Sivels.

LaToya will lie in state on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at noon in the chapel with Pastor Maurice Gilchrist as the eulogist. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
