Myrtice “Pat” “Nana” Whittle Herod
Myrtice “Pat” “Nana” Whittle Herod, 96, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025.
A native of Ooltewah, she was a former employee of Little Debbie Cookie Store where she worked for 25 years, and a member of the Ooltewah Seventh-day Adventist Church. Pat was known for her beautiful crochet work, and the many throws and baby blankets she made over the years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Martin Herod, parents, Delmar and Nancy Ann Curtis Whittle.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Stephen Sherlin; granddaughter, Cyndi (Chris) Dodson; and three great granddaughters, Taylor Dodson, McKenzie Dodson and Reagan Dodson, all of whom were the love of her life.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Pastor Dwight Herod officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Sacred Ground Hospice House, 1120 Dry Gap Pike, Knoxville, Tn. 37918 or to Interfaith Health Center, 315 Gill Ave., Knoxville, Tn., 37917 in her honor.
