Kenneth Dean Schorle, 76, of Soddy Daisy, passed peacefully at his home after an extended illness.

Ken was born in Lodi, Ohio on Feb. 29, 1948, to John and Mary (Calame) Schorle. Ken was the youngest of their nine children. Ken married Sharon Davis and they celebrated over 60 years together. Over the past few years, they spent every minute together with Sharon providing constant love and care until he took his final breath.

Ken was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He retired from MetalTek of Chattanooga in 2012, where he served as the president for nearly 30 years. Ken loved being with his family, working on their property in Soddy Daisy, and golfing with friends at Valleybrook Golf and Country Club.

Ken never met a stranger and spent many years playing music and singing with his brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. He had a heart of generosity and is fondly remembered by everyone who knew him. His passing leaves a huge hole in our lives. Our hearts are comforted to know he now walks the streets of gold.

Ken is survived by his wife Sharon, two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Michelle Schorle of Creston, Ohio, and Ryan and Vivian Schorle of Soddy Daisy. Grandchildren and spouses Ashton and Robert Tugwell, Spencer Schorle, Kelle and Tyler Thompson, and Anna-Meredith and Jacob Ingram. Great grandchildren Scarlett, Sarah, Savannah, Grayson, Shaylen, Clark, Michael, Serenity, Rivers, Rose, Matthew, and Daphne.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary (Calame) Schorle, and siblings, Janet Maibach, Jerry Schorle, Gene Schorle, JoAnn Cohen, Bernard (Pete) Schorle, Ruth Slater, Robert Schorle, and Tommy Schorle.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 12-4 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Hearth Hospice of Chattanooga, 513 Georgia Ave., Chattanooga, Tn. 37403 or online at www.hearthhospice.com .
