Thomas E. Witt, Jr., a beloved son, brother, father and grandfather passed away surrounded by those that loved him on February 27, 2025, in Ooltewah, Tennessee.

He was born to the late Thomas and Arleene Witt, Sr. on Nov. 21, 1941, in Chicago. Tom grew up in the Midwest and graduated from Truman State with BS in Business Administration and had an accomplished career in the transportation industry, retiring as vice chairman of Highway Transport, Inc., Knoxville, following decades of service. He was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Stephens Chattanooga. As a former member of Our Lady of Fatima Alcoa, TN he served as Chairman of the Finance Committee and Building Committee. He was also active in the Knights of Columbus, having served as Deputy Knight and Grand Knight.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 57 years, Eileen Witt; daughters, Carra Eggers and Kellie (Jeffrey) Wright; son, Craig Witt; grandchildren, Brooke, Sydney and Tom Wright; brother, Richard (Pamela) Witt and two nephews, Jonathan and Jeffrey (Veronica) Witt. The family will hold a private ceremony at a later date.

The family would like to provide a heartfelt thanks to special friend and Brother Knight Victor Williams, Fr. Manuel Perez, the staff at The Bridge of Ooltewah and Life Care of Ooltewah and Hearth Hospice nurse Alivia for their genuine love, care and support.

His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
