Perry Collins Wins Owl's Nest BBQ Supply Chili Championship

Perry Collins of Ooltewah captured the second Owl's Nest BBQ Supply Chili Championship on Saturday. Mr. Collins bested 12 other chili bowl experts to capture the $500 cash prize, trophy and Chili Championship ring.

BBQ expert Rhondell Thacker from Lookout Valley cooked his way to a second place finish and walked away with $300. Michael "BBQ Mike" Williams was third and won $150.

Rossville native "Grill Billy" Billy Holland stood out among the 12 other cooks and won the People's Choice Award and $300.

More than 150 people attended the event.


The Owl's Nest BBQ Supply Competition Series' next event is the Hamilton County Rib Cookoff on March 29.
