James Stewart Floyd, 72, of Rainsville, Alabama, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served as a senior master sergeant in Vietnam. He was a member of Vietnam Veterans Chapter 203.

Mr. Floyd earned his master’s in business at Bryan College and was retired from Rubbermaid as Sr. Human Resources Manager.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Brayton and Claudia Floyd; siblings, Brayton Floyd, Joyce Ramsey, Naomi Lankford, Barbara Gulledge and Ronnie Floyd.

Survivors include his wife, Shann Floyd; daughters, Wendi Lehman and Jenny Floyd; step-children, Miranda (Brandon) Higgins, Jessica Duncan and Brandon (Lacey) Duncan; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; sister, Brenda Camp; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 10, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Rev. Mark Rose officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South with military honors.
