Nga "Bounme" Khongsavanh
It is with heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Bounme who departed from this world on February 3, 2025.
Nga "Bounme" Khongsavanh was born on Feb. 15, 1962 in Ban Xok Village, Savannnakhet, Laos to mother Ha and father Bai. Bounme is the oldest of four siblings (Champy Phommany , Ratasamy Komkhongsavang, Sury Komkhongsavang). He immigrated in September, 1980 to Portland, Or., and later settled in Chattanooga, Tn. (1986) and married Oraphinh Douangmala (1991). They were happily married for 33 years and have a business together in Jasper, Tn. (Okie Nails).
During his free time he enjoys spending time with family and friends. He was the life of the party (loved playing keyboard and karaoke) and actively involved in the Lao community. He left behind a warmth, friendly, and contagious laugh. He was loved by his family, friends, and community and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife Oraphinh Khongsavanh, his three siblings, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and grand-nieces/nephews.
Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 7414 Old Lee Hwy. Chattanooga, Tn. 37421. The funeral ceremony and traditional cremation will immediately follow.
