Shaw Industries Group Inc.’s Candi Hampton, senior director of sustainability, has been named a 2025 Women MAKE Awards Honoree by the Manufacturing Institute — the workforce development and education partner of the National Association of Manufacturers. This annual national awards program honors women who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in their careers and represent all levels of the manufacturing industry.
"Receiving the Women MAKE Honoree Award is an incredible honor and a reflection of my passion for manufacturing, sustainability, and mentorship,” said Ms. Hampton. “Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to help drive meaningful change — advancing sustainability, fostering collaboration, and supporting the next generation of female leaders. I am grateful for the opportunities and support that have shaped my journey, and I remain committed to paying it forward. By mentoring others, fostering inclusivity, and encouraging continuous growth, I hope to inspire more women to pursue careers in manufacturing and help create a more sustainable and forward-looking industry."
Ms. Hampton is a 22-year veteran of the manufacturing industry, with experience in nearly every level of operations from the factory floor to department manager and beyond. Her efforts have driven sustainability initiatives, leading groundbreaking efforts that not only enhance product quality but also align with the highest environmental standards. Beyond professional achievements, Ms. Hampton embodies Shaw’s vision of creating a better future for our people, customers, and communities through her dedicated service with United Way, her local Dalton community and her mentorship of women in manufacturing, said officials.

"The heart of her mentorship is to empower women to build the leadership competencies necessary to assume increasing leadership roles, and to drive positive change within Shaw and the manufacturing sector more broadly."
The Women MAKE Awards honor exceptional women in manufacturing and motivate them to mentor the next generation through an annual awards gala and associated leadership training program. On April 24, the Manufacturing Institute will recognize recipients of the Women MAKE Awards in Washington, D.C. The evening will highlight each Honoree and Emerging Leader’s story, including their leadership and accomplishments in manufacturing.
