21st Annual Trails & Trilliums Festival Celebrates Nature And Discovery In Tennessee

The Friends of the Parks - South Cumberland, Savage Gulf and Head of the Crow invite nature enthusiasts to the 21st annual Trails & Trilliums festival, set for April 4-6 at the historic Beersheba Springs Assembly. This year's theme, "Wonders Hiding in Plain Sight," emphasizes the rich biodiversity and natural beauty of the South Cumberland Plateau.

Festival Highlights:
• Over 80 Activities:Participants can choose from a diverse lineup of hikes, workshops, exhibits, and panel discussions catering to all interests and fitness levels.
• Plenary Session: On Saturday at noon, attendees will learn about discovering a new phacelia species on the Plateau, showcasing the power of citizen science and keen observation.
• Expert-Led Panels: Topics include transforming yards into biodiverse habitats, the impact of conservation properties on public life, exploring the lives of naturalists through literature, and uncovering history through archaeology and song.
• Entertainment: Enjoy a Friday night Hootenanny with local musicians and the annual Wine and Wildflowers celebration on Saturday, featuring live music and dancing.

Interested individuals are encouraged to register by March 30 at trailsandtrilliums.org to secure their spots.
Some popular hikes have already reached capacity, so early registration is advised.
