Jimmie Lou Craw
Jimmie Lou Craw, 101, transitioned peacefully to be with the Lord on March 15, 2025, at her home in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Born on April 4, 1923, in Chattanooga, she was the beloved daughter of James and Dora Wheeler.
Jimmie was a devoted member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, where she faithfully served as a trustee and lent her beautiful voice to the choir. She also dedicated many years of service as the treasurer and secretary for the Scholz Tannery Credit Union.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charlie Craw; her children, Thelma Sparks, Ernest Craw, and Jeanette (Clark) Howard; her brother, George Wheeler; and her sister, Blanche Craw.
Jimmie’s legacy of love and faith lives on through her children: daughters, Mildred Jones and Edra Owens; sons, Harold (Cheryl) Craw and Louis Craw, all of Chattanooga. She is also cherished by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-grandchildren, along with a devoted nephew, James Craw.
A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 26, from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at 11 a.m. at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 1801 Dodds Ave. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
