Sheriff Austin Garrett Meets With FBI Director Kash Patel In Nashville

Sheriff Austin Garrett was invited to join United States Senators Bill Hagerty and Marsha Blackburn and a select group of Sheriffs from across the state of Tennessee to a roundtable discussion with newly appointed Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Kash Patel on Friday.

The roundtable discussion covered a variety of topics related to law enforcement including issues at the southern border, illegal immigration, narcotics and human trafficking, the 2879(g) Program and the FBI’s renewed commitment to partnering with sheriff’s and local law enforcement.

“I am honored to have received the invitation from Senators Hagerty and Blackburn to participate in today’s roundtable discussion with FBI Director Kash Patel," said Sheriff Garrett. "Today’s roundtable focused on a variety of critical issues affecting public safety not only Hamilton County, but every Tennessee county. I appreciate Director Patel meeting with us to discuss his renewed commitment to working with sheriffs and local law enforcement as well as hearing about the positive changes he is already implementing in the bureau."
