John K. Tucknott, 78, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025.

He was the beloved husband of 54 years to Pat Tucknott (nee Pietrie); loving father of Jean Pahl, Kathy (Randy) Voorhees, Michael (Danielle), and Julie (Mike); and daughter of the heart: Sharmaine; cherished grandfather of Michael, Matthew (Ariale), Jacob, Brandon, Mikey, Jaxon, Emily, Jenna and Ryan; and great-grandfather of Aria. John was preceded in death by his father Andrew and his mother Helen. He was a dear brother to Robert (the late Sandy) and Alan (Barbara), fun-loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, as well as being part of a “group” of devoted life-long friends.

John was a veteran and proudly served in the Army defending our country in the Vietnam War. He was a dedicated engineer for 41 years at International Harvester/Dresser/Komatsu. He enjoyed the Cubs, da Bears, camping, bowling, golfing and spending time with his family. John was always willing to share his “dad humor” with his children and grandchildren. Through the years, he volunteered with little league, Indian Guides and the American Legion. He will be truly missed.

Arrangements are by Hamilton Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
