Luther Odell Womble, 81, of Soddy Daisy, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025.

A devoted family man and a hard worker, Luther was the proud owner and operator of Womble Logging, a business he built alongside his son, Charles. He was a dedicated deacon at Gospel Assembly Church and was known as the world’s greatest Papa.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Doris Womble, his son, Doug Womble, and his grandson, Little Chris Womble.

Luther leaves behind a legacy of love and family. He is survived by his children, Charles (Susan) Womble, Luke (Angela) Womble, and Patricia (Billy) Bethune, as well as 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Luther’s kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Leroy Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
