Cumulus Media’s KZ106 announces a milestone that few in the radio industry achieve: Scott Chase, a beloved voice and icon of Chattanooga radio, is celebrating 40 years on-air. KZ106 will mark the occasion by hosting the “Scott Chase Scramble” charity golf tournament on May 19 at the Ooltewah Golf Club in Ooltewah.
The “Scott Chase Scramble” offers fans, friends and listeners an unforgettable day on the greens, with a top-tier golf experience at the exclusive Ooltewah Club while celebrating Scott’s passion for Rock & Roll and golf.
The day’s festivities start at 11 a.m. and include lunch, snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, a KZ swag bag, prizes, fun KZ-centric activities, and opportunities to win at every hole.
Proceeds from the “Scott Chase Scramble” will benefit the Forgotten Child Fund, which provides Christmas cheer to needy families on Christmas Eve, and distributes thousands of coats, toboggans and gloves to area children.
Presented by 5090 South The Furniture Store, the four-man scramble will feature a hole-in-one competition, closest to the pin and longest drive competitions. Hole-in-one sponsor Kia of Chattanooga and Cleveland will award the winner of the hole-in-one challenge with a new KIA K5.
Event sponsors include Shull Development, Waterdogz, Diesel Plus, Hixson Transmission, Elliot’s Boots, Drive Vision, Certapro, and ProRoof.
