Virginia “Gini” Alice Williams Love, 83, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 12, 2025.

She was born on April 25, 1941, in Providence, RI to the late Raymond and Mildred (Cole) Williams. Gini attended Connecticut Valley Regional High School and received her bachelor’s degree from the Women’s College of Greensboro, NC (UNC, Greensboro). She was a member of Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church and served faithfully, with her beloved husband, Grady, for many years as he pastored numerous churches in Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia.

As a young girl, she enjoyed ballet and contemporary dance. She loved to be outside, teaching swimming lessons and working as a life guard every summer at a lake in her hometown. She displayed her independent and adventurous spirit when, as a freshman headed to college, she boarded a bus to North Carolina with a trunk, her sewing machine, and a field hockey stick. Gini made lifelong friends and met the love of her life there. She loved living in the south and learned how to cook southern fare from her adoring mother-in-law. She taught physical education to elementary school children, organized and sent out letters from missionaries, and sang in church and community choirs. She was her husband's greatest support and encouragement in a busy life of ministry.

Gini was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her marriage to her husband, Grady, was a beautiful love story. They lived with mutual respect and admiration for each other, modeling for those around them a marriage centered on Christ. Their faith and commitment to the Lord and to one another was evident in how they lived their lives, serving Him and His church which they loved.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Rev. Robert Grady Love.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Lynn Love Erickson (Todd), Robbie Love (Kari), Kelly Love Perkins (Kristopher); grandchildren, Ben, Zach (Mary Katherine) and Ellie Erickson, Robert and Anna Grace Love, Mackenzie, Emma and Caden Perkins, and brother, Leonard Raymond Williams.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 3, from 1-2 p.m. at Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church in the chapel, 316 North Bragg Ave., Lookout Mountain, Tn. 37350. A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. with Rev. Brian Salter and Rev. D. Todd Erickson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mission to the World or PCA Widows Fund at www.pcanet.org.

Arrangements are by the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 8214 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
