Charles “Eddie” Edward Bice, Jr.
Charles Edward Bice, Jr., known throughout his life as Eddie, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025.
He was born in Chattanooga on February 21, 1955 to the late Charles Edward Bice, Sr and Mary Elizabeth Bice.
Eddie grew up in and lived most of his adult life in the Soddy Daisy area. After high school, Eddie served in the United States Navy for four years, being stationed in San Diego, Ca., as well as Japan and the Philippines. He worked at Dixie Yarns for over 30 years as a spinning technician. Eddie loved working on cars, anything space related (especially Star Trek), playing games, and camping at Fall Creek Falls. Full of good humor, Eddie was always one for a good joke. He loved to dream about what it would be like to be in heaven and loved his family very much.
Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Bice; wife, Linda Bradford Bice; and son, Greg Bice.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Erica (Matt) Scott; son, Johnny Bice; daughter-in-law, Trisha and her sons; grandson, Daniel (Jaci) Orrick; granddaughter, Morgan Orrick; sisters, Alice (Glenn) Hindman, Mary Ann (Tommy) Bradford, and Cindy (Ray) McCullough; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
There will be a memorial service celebrating the life of Eddie on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Chattanooga Primitive Baptist Church, 811 Runyan Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37405.
