Wanda dedicated many years of her life working at Cutters Laboratory until its closure. She then embarked on a new journey as an over-the-road truck driver with Covenant Transport, later transitioning to a local trainer position so she could care for her mother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eunice Myles and Betty Ann Clayton Blackman; grandparents, Jesse and Nina Clayton; brother, Abrel Lamar Clayton; great-grandson, Marcus Fortson Jr.; and sister, Hiawatha Mayes.

Wanda leaves behind cherished memories with her loving son, Seymore Hayes III of Chattanooga; devoted daughters, Princella (Robert) Allgood and Irish (Brian) Hatcher Sr., both of Chattanooga; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, along with her brother Ricky Myles, sisters, Eotree’s McClain and Drucilla Wiggins; nephew, Kemo Johnson, and a host of extended family and dear friends.

Her legacy of kindness, warmth, and unwavering love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

A public viewing will be held on Thursday, April 17, from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home.

A celebration of her life will take place on Friday, April 18, at 11:30 a.m. at Saint Elmo Missionary Baptist Church, 3701 West Ave., Chattanooga, Tn. 37410.
