UTC's Snell Named TSWA Softball Player Of The Week

Chattanooga’s Kailey Snell was named the Tennessee Sports Writers Association Softball Player of the Week for all games played April 7 – 13.

Snell went 5-for-10 (.500) at the plate, driving in four runs and scoring six to help lead the Mocs to a three-game sweep at Furman. She had a lead-off double in the opening game Saturday and drove in two runs in the second game with a triple to right center. Another double on Sunday led to a pair of RBIs for the Shelbyville, Tenn., graduate student. 

Snell is hitting .346 for the year with six doubles, a triple and 10 RBI.
She has a .421 on base percentage, one sac fly and 10 sacrifice hits.

She earned back-to-back Player of the Week honors with this being her second from the TSWA this season.

Chattanooga will host Tennessee State tonight at Frost Stadium. First pitch is slated for 5:05 p.m. Tickets may be purchased online at GoMocs.com or at the Frost Stadium ticket booth one hour prior to first pitch.
