McAline Davis Childers Shelton, 96, passed away on Monday, April, 14, 2025.

Born on Jan. 4, 1929, to the late James and Arnestine Davis of Dillsboro, N.C., she graduated from Sylva High School and McKenzie Business College. McAline worked for Drs. Newell and Associates as a medical secretary for over 30 years and was a member of Tyner United Methodist Church.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Luther A. Shelton.

Survivors include two sons, Alvin W. (Janet) Childers, Jr., and Michael J Childers Sr.; two grandsons, Christopher (Amanda) Childers and Michael J. (Dawn) Childers; five great-grandchildren, Deaton, Emma, Lucas, Marie and Michael J. III; extended family, James and Ginze Newman. She loved her family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, April 21, at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Pastor Amanda Dean officiating.

In lieu of flowers McAline request donations be made to Tyner United Methodist Church.
