Day Shift April 17: B Team
25-004056 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder/Vehicle Pursuit/Arrest
Police responded to the gas station for a report of a disorder. A witness informed an officer that the suspects had left and were traveling down Ringgold Road in a black Hyundai sedan.
An off-duty detective observed the vehicle recklessly traveling down Ringgold Road, speeding, passing other vehicles in the bike lane, and turning lane. The detective attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, but the vehicle began to flee. Due to the vehicle driving recklessly and endangering the public before the traffic stop was attempted, a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit continued until the driver surrendered in the 1100 block of McBrien Road. After she was placed in custody, officers located her infant daughter in the back seat of the car. She was charged with aggravated child endangerment, evading arrest, reckless endangerment, reckless driving, resisting arrest, and speeding. DCS was contacted and responded to the police department. DCS released the child to the subject’s sister.
25-004033 – 5400 BLK Oakdale Avenue – Domestic Disorder
ERPD responded to an active domestic at the above address. Upon arrival Officers met with a woman in the driveway who stated that her boyfriend had pinned her to the ground, sat on top of her and choked her. She stated it all started because she does not give him enough attention. The officer asked her to write a sworn statement as she did not have marks on her body from the assault. The complainant purposely left out that she had been assaulted. Since the caller was unwilling to cooperate with ERPD, no charges were filed for the Domestic Assault.
25-004034- 3900 BLK Ringgold Road- Suspicious Person
A worker reported that a male party was sleeping around the rear of the building. Police contacted the party who stated he worked nearby and was staying with a cousin in the area but just needed to get out of the house.
25-004036 – 500 BLK S. Moore Road – Found Property
The security coordinator reported finding a camouflage wallet containing a Tennessee identification in front of the south entrance of the property. With the assistance of Hamilton County dispatch, contact was made with the owner’s mother, who was advised they could pick the wallet up from the police department.
25-004037 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Lost Property
A citizen turned over a wallet and vehicle keys into the department that were found on the road in Georgia. The items were placed into our property room for safekeeping.
25-004040 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Assist EMS/Mental Health
Police responded to the lobby of the hotel to assist EMS with a difficulty breathing patient who expressed possible suicidal comments. Officers contacted the patient who advised police that due to his current health status, he had “lost the will to live”. Police spoke with the man, who advised he was traveling with high-functioning autistic son, who was still in their hotel room. He requested to be transported to an area hospital for his breathing and mental status issues. The son was informed of his father’s location.
25-004042 – 10 BLK Edwards Terrace – Property Damage
A party came to the East Ridge Police Department to report that her neighbor had removed her survey stakes she had just paid for through a surveying company. She stated he had moved the stakes causing them to be wrong because he didn’t agree with what the survey company marked. ERPD informed her that since its property line dispute she needs to go through the civil process to get this resolved.
25-004045 – 1500 BLK Truman Ave – Property Damage
Police responded to this location for property damage. East Ridge Fire Department’s Squad 2 was traveling south on Truman Ave near the 1500 block range when they struck a communications wire that that been damaged from an unreported incident that occurred earlier this date. No injuries occurred, but there was minor damage to squad 2 and a nearby residence where the electrical anchoring post pulled from the siding.
25-004048 – 5400 BLK Ringgold Road – Assault
Bank Employees called ERPD to report that a male driving a silver Jeep Wrangler attempted to run over one of their employees in the parking lot. The branch manager stated the customer thought the party was recording him and got irate. When the suspect entered his vehicle, he accelerated at a high speed towards the employee and then slammed his brakes causing the party to move out of the way. Charges are pending upon review of the surveillance video and identification of the suspect.
25-004053 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Found Property
Police responded to the police department after the caller reported finding a brown/red wallet on Market Street in Chattanooga. Due to the contents of the wallet, police took custody of it and are attempting to contact the owner.
Night Shift April 17: D Team
25-004054 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road- Theft
Store employees advised that a female came to check out with her groceries. The cashier stated that the female had asked for cigarettes, and when the cashier turned around, the female ran off with twelve packages of baby formula.
25-004055 – 1600 BLK Mack Smith Road – Missing Juvenile
East Ridge Police assisted a mother in locating her son after school. The juvenile failed to inform his mother that he received a ride from another child’s mom.
25-004058 – 400 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Overdose
A male was admitted with symptoms consistent with a narcotics overdose. A pill bottle with 53 Xanax bars was discovered in the victim’s pocket was taken to the Police Department where it was marked for destruction. Overdose Incident Report submitted on ICJP.
25-004059 - 4214 Ringgold Road- Warrant Service
Police served a warrant on a party while he was in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.
25-004068 – 4400 BLK Ringgold Rd – Burglar alarm
Officers were dispatched to the market for a front motion alarm. The building was secure.
25-004069 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic/Warrant
During a traffic stop for a light law violation, a man was taken into custody on an East Ridge warrant for Failure to Appear.
25-004070 – 4400 BLK Ringgold Rd – Burglar alarm
Officers were dispatched to the market for a second time in an hour for a front motion alarm. The building was still secure.
Day Shift April 18: A Team
25-004073 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Burglary of an Auto
The caller alleged her vehicle had been burglarized as a “scare tactic” after she found the trunk ajar. When questioned why she thought this, she explained she was in an active court battle with an individual, and said she was under no obligation to disclose the information to police. Officers found limited damage to the car consistent with a burglary, and no items were reported missing.
25-004074 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Property
A man reported his juvenile daughter’s Android phone was left on the trunk of his vehicle during a ball game, and he believed it had been stolen due to the phone’s location now being near Marietta Street/S. Mack Smith Road.
25-004081 – 1400 BLK St. Thomas Street – Check Wellbeing
A concerned citizen asked police to check on a woman and her two small children after he observed them sitting outside of the motel for a few days. The woman confided that she was having a rough time and had nowhere to go. The family was given a courtesy ride to the Chattanooga Rescue Mission.
25-004085 – 1400 BLK N Smith Street – Suspicious Person
Hotel staff asked police to check on a man well known to police after they found knives, blood, and marijuana in his room. Upon arrival, the party was not on scene, and the staff was encouraged to contact police when he returns so a check on his mental state could be conducted.
25-004075- 3400 BLK Gail Dr.- Suspicious Vehicle
Police observed a suspicious vehicle parked at 3400 Gail Dr. with its engine running and windows covered. Police approached the vehicle and contacted the driver. He advised he was sleeping in his car after leaving the bar the previous night. The man told officers he lived on Rose Street and would be leaving shortly. He was checked for warrants and sent on his way.
25-004080- 3400 BLK Betty Ln- Harassing Threats
Police spoke with a woman who advised her ex-boyfriend was harassing her. She showed evidence that she had attempted to cut lines of communication with him. However, he proceeded to call her from different numbers, furthering the harassment. She advised she feared the party. Her house was added to the Watch List and warrants are being sought for harassment. It was noted that the suspect was the party earlier found nearby.
25-004086- 6900 BLK Glen Errol Way- Mentally Disturbed
Police responded to this address for a party who was experiencing a mental health episode. His mother advised she was scared of him and wanted him out of her house. Police spoke with the man who stated he wished to go to the hospital. He was transported for further evaluation.
25-004079 – 5300 BLK Dupont Street – Unknown 911
Police responded to a phase 2 unknown 911 call. Police spoke to the residents who said everything was okay.
25-004082 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Deceptive Practice
Police spoke with a woman who said she received calls from two Federal Agents who said she had an arrest warrant for the crime of transporting large amounts of fentanyl from Texas to Tennessee. The “agents” instructed her to purchase Xbox and Apple gift cards to void the arrest warrant. She was skeptical, but an astute employee at the grocery store intercepted her store and advised her to speak with the Police. It she be note that the United States Government, nor its agents, need gift cards as payment or as a substitute for arrest.
25-004083 – 3500 BLK Gleason Drive - Deceptive Practice/Theft
Police spoke with the complainant who stated she left a check written for services in her mailbox. Her bank notified her that two fraudulent checks were deposited for $1002.00 and $900.00 on April 17 with the same check number from the check she had left in the mailbox, and she needed to file a police report to receive her money back. At this time, no suspect was identified, and no description of the suspect was given at the time of the report.
25-004084 – 3500 BLK Ringgold Road - Unconscious Party/ Trespass
Police were informed of an unconscious party who was seen lying in front of the pharmacy. Upon police arrival, the party had woken from her slumber and stated she was only taking a nap. The manager requested police trespass her and ask her to leave the property. She was given a courtesy ride to the Community Kitchen in Chattanooga and given her trespass warning.
Night Shift April 18: C Team
25-004096 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Rd – Traffic Stop / Arrest
Police observed a silver sedan traveling at a high rate of speed and unable to maintain lane. The officer initiated a traffic stop and determined the driver, was intoxicated on both alcohol and marijuana. She was taken into custody and charged with Driving Under the Influence, Speeding, and Reckless Driving.
25-004098 – 4400 BLK Ringgold Road – Property Damage
Police responded to a property damage complaint at the Market. Officers police found that a man had been transporting a long canoe on the top of his truck. While backing into a parking space, the end of the canoe struck a windowpane and broke it. No injuries were reported for the incident.
25-004099 – I-24 Westbound, MM 183 – Traffic Stop / Arrest
The ERPD K9 Officer conducted a traffic stop with a black Ford Mustang due to a registration violation. During the stop, a passenger was found to have an active warrant through the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office. She was also found to be in possession of unprescribed Adderall pills and 14 grams of suspected methamphetamine. She was transported to the Hamilton County Jail and charged with the Possession of Schedule II and Possession of Methamphetamine.
25-004102 – 500 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Theft
An employee reported her phone was stolen by a customer. She was able to track her phone to a house in Walker County, GA. At that location, Walker County Deputies located the suspect and identified her. Deputies recovered the phone, but the victim declined to press charges.
25-004103 – 5300 BLK Clemons Road– Mentally Disturbed
A woman called the Hamilton County Dispatch stating she was going to harm herself. Police located the female and found that had been cutting herself. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
25-004104 – I-75 Southbound, MM 1.0 – Traffic Stop / Arrest
Police observed a Honda CR-V travelling with no operational headlights and failing to maintain its lane. The officer initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver. The driver was determined to be intoxicated and was taken into custody for Driving Under the Influence.
25-004109 – 3100 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Assist Other Agency Arrest
During a traffic stop, a party was found to have a Probationary Capias for Reckless Endangerment and Aggravated Domestic Assault through the Hamilton County Criminal Court. He was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
Day Shift April 19: A Team
24-004112 – 6600 BLK Jordan Run – Backup EMS
A caller reported hearing a male yelling for help. On scene, officers found a male laying in his driveway who advised he had fallen from a ladder and believed his leg was broken. EMS was notified, and officers stood by while the male was treated.
25-004111 – Altamaha Street / Anderson Avenue – Vehicle Crash / DUI
Police responded to the apex at Anderson and Altamaha where a Northbound vehicle attempting to negotiate the curve failed and drove into the creek. Officers smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the driver’s breath. The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
25-004125 – 1200 BLK Altamaha Street – Theft from Vehicle
The victim reported that a 9mm Smith & Wesson emblazoned with Louis Vuitton logos was stolen from his unlocked pickup truck sometime between midnight and 0400 this morning. He also reported that a single action .22 rifle went missing from the same unlocked vehicle in mid-February of this year. He did not have serial numbers for either firearm.
23-001496 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service
CPD notified dispatch they were out with a party who had an active East Ridge warrant for Rape. CPD transported him to Hamilton County Jail where he was served his warrant.
Night Shift April 19: C Team
25-004135 – 1300 BLK Spring Creek Road – Disorder / Assist Other Agency Arrest
Police responded to a Disorder involving several adults at a youth basketball game. Officers found that a woman left the bleachers and confronted a juvenile on the court. No physical contact was made with the juvenile player, and the woman was asked to leave the gym. Police found that she had an active probation warrant out of Hamilton County Sessions Court, and she was taken into custody. She remained uncooperative through the entire process and had to be carried into Booking at the Hamilton County Jail.
25-004143 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road– Disorder
Police responded to a disorder involving a female and her mother. The reporting party did not reside at the location and heard about the disorder through a messenger phone app. Officers found no signs of an assault and neither individual appeared to be intoxicated. The disorder was determined to be a verbal argument.
25-004149 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder
Police responded to a disorder near the restaurant on Ringgold Road. A white Volkswagen Tiguan and a gray Toyota Rav 4 were seen traveling next to each in an apparent road rage incident. Officers located the vehicles and spoke with the drivers. Police found one of the drivers was upset because the other driver cut him off. Neither vehicle was hit, and no threats were made by either person. The drivers were sent on their way.
25-004151 – 4400 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Person
Police responded to a suspicious person complaint at the auto parts store. Officers found a man resting on the sidewalk after regular business hours.
25-004154 – 3400 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest
During a traffic stop, Police determined that a woman was driving her vehicle with a Revoked License for DUI. She was arrested and charged appropriately.
Day Shift April 20: A Team
25-004158 – 1100 Spring Creek Road – Check Wellbeing
A concerned passerby asked police to check on a male sitting near the roadway. Officers then located the party who stated he had too much to drink and was trying to call a ride, but his phone had died. Officers called a friend for him and stood by until he was picked up.
25-004166 – 1300 BLK Spring Creek Road – Backup EMS
Officers stood by at EMS’ request after a man called and expressed fear that he had consumed too much radiation. As officers weren’t quite sure how much radiation one should willfully consume; the man was transported to the hospital for treatment.
25-004174 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road– Check Wellbeing
A man requested a wellbeing check be conducted on his daughter after he observed dark bruising on her face with knowledge that she has a history of domestic disorders with her boyfriend. Officers located both at the inn and observed bruising to the woman’s left eye. She was adamant that was the result of a camping injury, and no assault took place. Miscellaneous report on file.
25-004161 – 1700 BLK Tombras Avenue – Well Being Check
Police were called to check on a young boy walking down Tombras without shoes on. The young boy, hailing from a home on Tombras a few blocks away, left home in protest of the contents of the basket the Easter Bunny left for him. His father arrived quickly to collect him.
25-004163 – 800 BLK Belvoir Avenue – Burglar Alarm
Police responded to an interior burglar alarm at the school. Officers found the southwest exit door was not secured. The school was cleared, and the officers observed the interior floor mat was not allowing the bottom door latch to engage. The door was secured after a minor adjustment of the floor mat.
25-004167 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Unconscious Person
Police responded to the grassy area along the road after a passerby observed a person lying face down near the road. The person responded immediately to a simple, “Hello”. The woman told officers she was resting. She denied medical attention and was given a courtesy ride to Brainerd Road.
25-004172 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Citizen Assist
Police were called to the red phone to assist a mother and teenage daughter. The daughter had attached a vintage handcuff to herself but was not able to unlock it. Modern cuff keys were unsuccessful in unlocking them as well. ERFD was able to successfully cut the cuff off.
25-004164- 1000 BLK S Seminole Dr- Auto Improperly Parked
Police responded to this address for a moving truck parked just before the blind hill. An officer spoke with the resident of the home who advised he was moving in. Police stood by and directed traffic while they quickly unloaded the rest of their belongings.
25-004165- Ringgold Rd./McBrien Rd- Broken Down Auto
Police responded to this address and observed a black Dodge Challenger broken down in the turning lane. An officer called for a tow and the vehicle was removed from the roadway.
25-004168- 3200 BLK Blackhawk Trail- Check for Hazard
Police responded to this address for a vehicle parked on the curve to the hill. Police spoke with the vehicle owners and requested him to relocate his car. The owner agreed and went about his day.
25-004122 – 5700 BLK Roper Street- Crash/Misdemeanor Citation
Police spoke with a party regarding a crash that occurred on 04/19/2025. He was issued a misdemeanor citation for driving on a revoked license for DUI and leaving the scene of a crash.
Night Shift April 20: C Team
25-004182 – 4200 BLK Block Ringgold Road – Public Intoxication / Arrest
Officers observed a man stumbling on the sidewalk along Ringgold Road. He was highly intoxicated and danger to himself. The party was taken into custody for Public Intoxication and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
25-004184 – 400 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Suspicious Activity
Police responded to a disorder at the business and found a local legend demonstrating bizarre behavior. While speaking with Police and EMS, he poured water over his head and stated he was taking a shower. He was transported by EMS to the hospital for an evaluation. During the transport, Police located a cookie tin containing drug paraphernalia and a package of “mushroom granola.” The items were placed in the ERPD Evidence Room for destruction.
25-004185 – 400 BLK Dunlap Avenue – Traffic Stop / Vehicle Pursuit
Police attempted to stop a black BMW on Dunlap Ave. The suspect vehicle initially took off but conducted a U-turn and drove towards the patrol vehicle. The suspect vehicle veered right before striking the patrol car and drove through a resident’s yard to get away. Due to the reckless actions of the driver, a vehicle pursuit was initiated. Police followed the suspect into Chattanooga but terminated the pursuit due to traffic conditions on Brainerd Road. Warrants are pending for the identification of the driver.
25-004187 – 5000 BLK South Terrace – Suspicious Activity
A movie goer reported hearing ten loud noises that sounded like gun shots or fireworks. Police checked the area and were informed a group of people were shooting fireworks in the parking lot. Officers checked the surrounding area, but the suspects were not located.
25-004190 – 3600 BLK Shirl Jo Lane – Disorder
Police responded to a disorder at a residence on Shirl Jo Lane. On scene, officers determined that three intoxicated neighbors had been in a verbal argument. Everyone was asked to go home for the evening.
25-004192 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Road – Assist Citizen
A disorientated elderly female walked into the gas station and reported she had been in a serious incident. Upon further investigation, Police determined the female had dementia and EMS responded to the scene. Officers also found that her vehicle had struck an object and damaged a tire. A family member responded to the location and took the her home.
Day Shift April 21: B Team
25-004194- 3400 BLK Frawley Street- Firearm Recovered
A firearm, with damage consistent with being thrown onto concrete, was recovered in the ditch near the house.
25-004200 – 400 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway- Harassment
Police responded to the above address on a report of a man harassing customers for money. The manager described the subject as wearing a gray sweatshirt, black pants, and having a short haircut. She requested he be trespassed. The subject was not located initially, but a male matching the description was later seen on St. Thomas Street. He was identified and admitted to soliciting customers at the business earlier this date. He was advised not to return and warned of arrest if he did. He acknowledged the warning.
25-004202 – 610 Ringgold Road– Fraud
The District Manager contacted the police to report a fraud incident. She provided documentation of three separate occasions in which a woman cashed fraudulent checks at the business. The manager advised that she has since spoken with the suspect, who acknowledged the debt resulting from the returned checks but has made no effort to repay the amount owed. Warrants will be sought for fraud and theft of property.
25-004206- 100 BLK Atomic Ridge- Auto Theft
A man reported that the vehicle that his sister had rented from the Turo app had been stolen. He stated that he left the keys in the vehicle and last seen at around 8 p.m. This was the same vehicle involved in a pursuit the previous night.
Night Shift April 21: D Team
25-004221-400 BLK Broughton St- Well Being Check
Police responded to a well-being check on a man at his ex-wife's request. He was alive and well.
25-004223- 5700 BLK Ringgold Rd- Unconscious/ Arrest
Officers were dispatched to the listed location for a female party asleep in her vehicle. The woman woke up after officers opened her door. Police located an open container in her passenger seat sticking out of a bag. Officers then located a clear baggie of methamphetamine on her person. She was arrested for drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, and open container.
25-004225 – 1400 BLK Mack Smith Road – Suspicious Activity
Police responded to a call of suspicious activity at the vacant East Ridge Retirement Home after a reporting party stated she observed a woman inside looking out a window. Officers located multiple unsecured doors to the building. The building was cleared but no one was located inside. Officers did observe signs that individuals had been entering the building.
25-004230 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Vehicle / Arrest
Police observed a suspicious vehicle at the above address. During a probable cause search, officers located approximately 0.9 grams of suspected methamphetamine. A woman was issued a misdemeanor citation and released on the scene.
25-004232 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder
A delayed road rage incident was reported in the 6400 block of Ringgold Road involving a male driver exiting his vehicle and punching the passenger window of the complainant’s car. The owner reported no damage. Police were unable to positively identify the suspect.
25-004234 – 5900 BLK St James Street – Property Damage
Police provided an incident report to a citizen for insurance purposes after a tree limb fell on her vehicle, breaking the windshield.
