Hamilton County EMS announces that 20 students have successfully completed the Tennessee Critical Care Paramedic Course, hosted at the HCEMS Administration and Training Center. The course was presented by LifeForce Education.
Of the 20 students, 13 are current Hamilton County EMS paramedics. This milestone will bring the total number of Critical Care certified paramedics at HCEMS to over 40—making it the highest concentration of CC paramedics employed by a “911 only” EMS service in Tennessee EMS Region 3.
"This achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to advanced education and clinical excellence," said Wade Batson, director of Hamilton County EMS.
"Having the largest number of Critical Care Paramedics in the region ensures that we are better equipped to provide the highest level of care to our community."
The Tennessee Critical Care Paramedic Course provides advanced training in managing critically ill and injured patients. The program, facilitated by LifeForce Education, includes intensive instruction in advanced airway management, hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management and pharmacology.
Hamilton County EMS congratulates all 20 graduates on this significant professional achievement.
