Alesia Gwendolyn Sparks, 62, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2025, in the Hospice Care Center. She was a 1981 graduate of City High School. She was formerly employed by Brock Candy Company.

Alesia was preceded in death by her mother, Yvonne Benn; father, Troy Sparks, Sr.; great-nephew, Antonio Sparks; and grandson, Da’Shwn Johnson.

Survivors include her sons, Orlando Baergo, Eddie Sparks, and Jeffrey (Kylie) Sparks, all of Chattanooga; daughter, Sibhon Natasha (Emmanuel) Johnson of Ringgold; goddaughters, Kelley Ramona Crawford and Ashley Talley; nine grandchildren; brothers, Jeffrey (Dianne) Benn of Chattanooga, Ronald Sparks of Atlanta, and Troy (Angela) Sparks of Chattanooga; sisters, Tonya Trammel Brown of Chattanooga, Kathy Sligh and Sonya Trimble; aunts, Marie Herman of Newark, NJ and Jeanette Sparks of Nashville; favorite niece, Nakita Benn; special great-nephew, Josiah Featherstone; several other nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives; and many friends.

Alesia will lie in state on Sunday, July 13, at 10:30 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in the Chapel with Pastor Alonzo Noble as the Eulogist. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens on Monday, July 14, at 10 a.m.
