2 County Commissioners Favor Letting Voters Decide On Raising Sales Tax To Help Schools

Two County Commission members on Wednesday said they favor allowing voters to decide in a referendum on whether to raise the sales tax to help fund the county schools. Commissioner David Sharpe brought up the topic and said he has started drafting a resolution for the full commission to consider. Commissioner Joe Graham said he agreed. Lookouts Fall To Biscuits 10-2

The Chattanooga Lookouts dropped their series opener to the Montgomery Biscuits 10-2 on Tuesday night. Starting pitcher Kevin Abel took the loss allowing six earned runs on ten hits in four innings of work. Catcher Michael Trautwein led the Lookouts offensively going 2-3 including his second homerun of the season. The Lookouts continue their series at Montgomery on Wednesday afternoon at noon. more
