Telly Savalas Petty-Jackson, 26, of Chattanooga died Monday, July 2, 2001.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Greater Second Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Waymon Jackson Sr., Ella Mae Jackson and George Eddie Woodruff Sr.; aunt, Geraldine Myers.
Survivors include his wife, Coretha Marie Petty; son, Telly Savalas Petty Jr.; father, Waymon Jackson Jr.; mother, Nancy Carol Jackson, all of Chattanooga; grandmothers, Virginia Woodruff of Chattanooga and Bessie Jackson of Dayton, Ohio; brothers, Antinio L. Petty, Frankie G. Petty, both of Chattanooga and Anthony W. Jackson of Washington, D.C.; sisters, Tracy Letwell, Janet Jackson, Denise Jackson, Geraldine Morland, all of Cleveland, Ohio, Shawna Woods, Felecia Petty, both of Chattanooga and Venita Grimah of Sterling, Va.; uncles, George Woodruff Jr., Meridith Woodruff and Maurice Woodruff, all of Chattanooga; aunts, Fannie Pardue, Diane Baine, both of Chattanooga and Janice Collins of Chicago, Ill.; mother-in-law, Lila Ann Sims of Chattanooga; brothers-in-law, Todd Morland of Cleveland, Ohio, Yaw Grimah of Sterling, Va., and John Clay of Chattanooga; sisters-in-law, Terri Petty, Christie Petty and Keisha Young, all of Chattanooga; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives; special friends like brothers, Burl McClain of Cleveland, Ohio, Demetrius Worthey of Washington, D.C., and Dinia Wilcoxson; and many other friends.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Greater Second Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Willie Paul officiating, assisted by Rev. Horace Scruggs.
Burial will be in National Cemetery.
