Blair Weigel, 84, of Chattanooga died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, at a local hospital.

He was a graduate of Baylor School and Cornell University, where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. Mr. Weigel served as a captain in the Air Force in World War II. He was a partner in Weigel Engineering Company.

During his lifetime he was affiliated with the Mountain City Club, Lookout Mountain Fairyland Club, Rotary Club, Chattanooga Yacht Club, and the Commercial Society of Mechanical Engineers. He also was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ernestine N. Weigel; sons, Blair A. Weigel of Sarasota, Fla., Edward R. Weigel, Chattanooga; grandson, Blair A. Weigel of Sarasota.

Memorial contributions may be made to the UTC engineering building or a charity of your choice.

Private services will be held later.

There will be no visitation at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road.
