Rhyme-N-Chatt Presents Poetry Slampoze 2003

Chattanooga’s first and only interactive poetry group Rhyme N Chatt is holding the first ever Poetry Slampoze’ 2003.

On Saturday, April 26, poets from all over the Tri-State region will gather at the Tennessee Aquarium in the name of poetry, to compete in a test of true skill and creative artistry.

There will be three areas for competition: Traditional – stationary microphone, rhyme and/or free prose; Performance – utilizing theatrical interpretation, music, props, etc.; Freestyle – impromptu rhyme and/or free prose. One winner will be chosen in each category for a cash prize.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Pre-registration is necessary for those interested in competing.
