Holiday Lights Featured At The Chattanooga Zoo

  • Wednesday, November 9, 2005

The Chattanooga Zoo is offering pictures with Santa, storytelling with Mrs. Claus, hot chocolate, beautiful holiday decorations, art & craft activities for the kids, and visit with the animals. Holiday Lights will be held for two weekends in December: 8–10 and 15–17 from 5:30 p.m.–8 p.m. each night.

Regular zoo admission gets you into this event. Each night will carry a theme with special activities planned every day of the event.

Here’s a description of what’s planned for this year’s “Holiday Lights” event:

Thursday, Dec. 8: “Helping Hands Night.” All military and emergency personnel such as fire and police officers and their families are free! ID must be presented for admission.

Friday, Dec. 9: “Old Fashioned Christmas.” Grandparents are invited to come out with their grandchildren for some old-fashioned Christmas activities. Regular admission.

Saturday, Dec. 10: “Zoo Members Night.” Zoo members are treated to a chili supper. Members are free on this night. Members pay half price for the other nights during Holiday Lights.
