Dr. Bill Perry, 68, died on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, in a local hospital, surrounded by family and friends.

He was the Pastor of the Victory Baptist Church in Rossville for over 15 years, Second Baptist Church in Chatsworth, Ga. and was the founder of the Victory Bible Institute.

He also served as regional vice-president of the Trinity Bible College in Jacksonville, Fl. He attended West Georgia College in Carrollton, Ga., and Temple Bible College.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. LeRoy Perry; and granddaughter, Kristy Leigh Roden.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sylvia Evans Perry; mother, Mrs. LeRoy Perry; son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and April Perry, of Ringgold; daughter and son-in-law, Tamie and Buddy Roden, of Ringgold; grandchildren, Caleb Perry, Chris Roden, of Ringgold, Jennifer Rhys Otting; and great-granddaughter, Lexi Otting, of Chattanooga; brother, Damon (Rhonda) Perry, of Ringgold; and sister, Martha (Bert) Vanoer, of Fort Oglethorpe.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Victory Baptist Church with Pastor Ernest Groce, Dr. Carl Frensley and Brother Ron Bankston officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

Memorial contributions may be made to Victory Baptist Church, Missions Program, 1013 LaFayette Road, Rossville, GA 30741. Condolences may be made at www.heritagefh.com.

Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m Monday and from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday at Victory Baptist Church.

Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
