Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant Group is opening a second Big River Grille and Brewing Works restaurant for the Chattanooga area to be located at Hamilton Place Mall.
The new restaurant has begun construction and will open to the public Oct. 9.
Officials said diners will enjoy a wide variety of made from scratch menu items as well as numerous fresh brewed beers to choose from.
The original Big River Grille and Brewing Works has been located in the heart of Chattanooga since 1993. The original location occupies a historic trolley barn and has been a favorite for locals and tourists alike ever since first opening.
While showcasing a new décor package and extensive patio area, the Hamilton Place location stays true to the spirit of the original with emphasis on made from scratch food, fresh beer and a comfortably inviting atmosphere, it was stated.
Officials said the majority of the menu will be made up of longtime favorites from the original location. Such entrée favorites include Blue Crab Stuffed Chicken, Sweet Magnolia Ribs, Low Country Shrimp and Grits, Smoky Mountain Pasta, BBQ Chicken Pizza, Grilled Salmon and Gorgonzola Ribeye. In addition to such entrees, the menu features a wide variety of appetizers including Pepper Jack Chicken Nachos, Asiago Artichoke Crab Dip, Chicken Spring Rolls, Smoked Tomato Bruschetta and Buffalo Wings.

The Big River Grille and Brewing Works at Hamilton Place will be located off I-75 adjacent to the Hamilton Place Mall. The address of the location will be 2020 Hamilton Place Boulevard. The approximately 8,000 square-foot restaurant will feature an extensive dining room, spacious bar area, private dining/banquet room, and large outdoor patio.
